I personally believe 5G is a big problem. Let me explain. What is 5G? It’s the first evolution of cellular technology, with potential to change how we access and interact with the internet, smartphones, and mobile devices. With 5G, your phone could connect at faster speeds and no more recharging your device mid-session, because 5G removes the charging process completely.

The current evolution of cellular technology is 4G LTE, also called 4G LTE Advanced or LTE A. Some devices, like the Apple iPhone 7, support 4G LTE Advanced. With 4G LTE, your phone typically uses a SIM card that’s located at the base of your phone, which then gives you a data connection.

Recently, mobile phone providers have made small changes to 4G LTE. For example, 4G LTE wasn’t always available everywhere in the country and was rolled out slowly. According to the FCC, by the end of this year, more than 70 percent of American households will have access to 4G LTE. Also, the largest wireless carriers are offering the newest and most advanced 4G LTE network technology.

The FCC has been working hard to make 5G technology a reality. It will provide significant improvements, such as increased data speeds and the ability to download movies in high-definition, but there will also be benefits to people and industries that are unaware or uninterested in these benefits. For example, with 5G we could potentially save lives, prevent human injuries, decrease energy costs, and save lives.

This isn’t new information, but I’m adding a new perspective on it. I’m a physicist, and I have a strong feeling that 5G is going to be a nightmare for the people, industries, and governments that are currently implementing it.

To explain it, I’m going to show you the most common 5G problems, how the 5G solutions will solve it, and then how the solution will result in the 5G problems becoming more severe than ever. I’ll also take you through what the manufacturers of 5G devices are doing to solve the 5G problems.

5G will result in a lot of problems

Let’s begin with the obvious problems that come with 5G. For example, your smartphone could become slow, or worse, even not work at all if the technology isn’t flawless. Your car or any other mobile device could become unstable and crash, because 5G technology doesn’t rely on signals going directly to the device in order to function.

The only place that 5G will deliver fast, stable signals is in a direct line. So, when 5G devices are within range of 5G base stations, it will deliver a lot more data than current mobile devices. Many carriers are planning to build their 5G networks in very populated areas where most of their users live. This means they’re planning on building a lot of 5G towers and they’re planning on placing those towers very close to their users’ homes.

How close will this place be? For example, we just saw the result of Samsung’s 5G test in South Korea. They placed five 5G base stations in a residential area and they still couldn’t connect. Why? It’s because 5G isn’t just about delivering fast signals to mobile devices, but also about delivering fast signals to the phones that are getting connected to the 5G network. This means that 5G base stations are also being placed very close to residential areas, in areas that include very densely populated areas.

But 5G won’t just bring new, faster devices; it also brings a lot of new, weird problems. From the 5G solutions, you’ll also learn that some 5G problems will increase in severity, and some will decrease.

5G problems will become more severe

First, some of the 5G solutions that are implemented to reduce 5G problems will also cause more problems. A few examples of these solutions include:

Higher-frequency 5G: Your 5G device will connect very close to a 5G base station and then it’ll start using higher frequencies than the 5G base station is capable of receiving. This will allow you to access 5G networks, but this will also result in further signal degradation because your 5G device is so close.

Use of 5G to reduce the effects of electromagnetic fields: This means that some 5G devices are only using 5G signals to connect to a 5G base station and not providing the 5G signals that mobile devices need to operate. These 5G devices might work better at a specific range and could avoid an electromagnetic field but, overall, this solution will only work to reduce the effects of electromagnetic fields for 5G devices and mobile devices.

These solutions will cause some problems, but overall I think they will have a positive impact. For example, your smartphone may use 5G signals close to a 5G base station, but your smartphone will also be using it at a few meters away. So it will only be using the 5G signals at a very short distance. In this case, it will be much easier to use 5G signals and it will be using them less
